Outside the Barn Series

Outside the Barn Series

Outside the Barn is the signature community engagement series presented by 10K BA Incorporated, our for-profit appraisal management company and the 10K Appraisers Foundation (10KAF), our nonprofit educational arm. Together, we bring practical knowledge, trusted tools, and open conversations directly to the communities we serve.

Each series centers around focus areas that matter most to land stewards, property holders, and future leaders—covering topics like Reconsideration of Value, Heirs Property, Careers in Agriculture and Appraising, Urban Agriculture, and Policy.

Whether held in a rural town hall, a community garden, or a virtual space, Outside the Barn creates space for meaningful conversations, learning, and empowerment. It’s more than a presentation—it’s a shared experience rooted in community and designed to protect land, grow opportunity, and support generational prosperity.

Organizations, schools, agencies, and community leaders are welcome to host a series. To be considered a full Outside the Barn Series, a minimum of three focus areas must be selected.

If you’re interested in just one or two topics, we invite you to explore our Community Speaking Services—a flexible option for booking individual presentations or custom talks tailored to your audience.

Key Focus Areas

Reconsideration of Value (ROV)

Empowering property owners with a formal, data-supported path to challenge undervalued appraisals. Our ROV process creates fairness in wealth-building and preserves family legacies.

Heirs Property

We help landowners safeguard generational assets and unlock the value hidden in shared inheritance, transforming complex title issues into opportunities for preserving family history and future potential.

Careers in Agriculture & Appraising

Discover high-impact roles connecting purpose with prosperity—from drone technology and data science to farm operations and appraisals that shape communities and steward our land.

Urban Agriculture

Transform urban spaces into innovation hubs through aquaponics, aeroponics, and hydroponics. Create fresh food systems and new income streams in backyards, rooftops, and indoor spaces.

Policy

Understand how laws and reforms impact Black landowners. Join our advocacy efforts to transform policy from a barrier into a powerful tool for change in land access, appraisal practices, and generational wealth.
