Thaddaus Dawson Speaks
Where Liberation Meets Valuation & Soul Meets Soil
Thaddaus Dawson Speaks is a groundbreaking radio program addressing the systemic issue of appraisal bias that has cost the Black community an estimated $1 trillion in lost wealth, with the tagline “Liberation Through Accurate Valuations, Where Soul Meets Soil.”
The show takes on critical urgency as America undergoes the largest intergenerational wealth transfer in history—$30 trillion—where Black families hold only $3 trillion despite deserving closer to $10 trillion if not for decades of racist redlining and discriminatory valuation policies.
The program highlights how federal transportation policies destroyed over 1,260 Black communities, compounding wealth losses across housing ($200 billion), farming ($100 billion), heirs’ property ($100 billion), and churches ($500 billion).
Through education and advocacy, the show promotes the Reconsideration of Value (ROV) process as a first step toward justice, allowing property owners to challenge unfair appraisals objectively with subject matter experts without directly accusing appraisers of bias.
Thaddaus Dawson Speaks empowers listeners to understand their rights and fight against the valuation practices that continue to undermine Black wealth building during this pivotal moment in American economic history.
